Why did you make one? A bore guide is already in the sks military cleaning kit. Its the cap that close the tube for the kit storage, the cap slide over the muzzle and must be twisted to lock on the front sight:) If you dont have the kit, you can have it from many sks suppliers:)

I did see it, but its metal. is it the twist off cap on the cleaning kit? mine is so damn tight it wont even go over the muzzle. I figured plastic is less harmful.
and I had an itch to use some tools.

Yes its the cap on the cleaning kit and should go over the muzzle without problem. Its the best guide, in fact i only use the sks kit and somes patches to clean, that kit its really all you will ever need.

odd I will give mine another look, have an extra I can see if its the same.
if not I will persuade the clips out a tad, or this plastic one will do just nice :D

Either way, enjoy my video I made for you all :p

I would stick with the metal guide on the kit, plastic tends to wear out somewhat quicker than metal.
svt1940 is right, everything you need for the weapon is in the kit provided. My guide is a snug fit not sloppy and not tight..just the way I like it :)
Have a blast with the gat and get ready for numerous additions :)
