Did I do something stupid to my new Glock?

Nutfancy not so much, there is something about his voice or tone, i dont know what it is but i dont like it.

I think its the fact that a middle aged man is saying s**t like dude! and wordd! his voice is up there aswell though..

ever since i have gotten into the GunNutz community, i have not been able to stop watching his videos. This guy has helped me a ton in my understanding.

also, FPS Russian is fun tio watch...entertaining.

He's like an super keen boyscout who never grew up but still... I've gotten a lot of info from him and like the fact that he doesn't care what the price point is or where a gun or knife is made... if it's good it's he says and if (he thinks) it's crap he says so.

I wouldn't take nutnfancy too seriously. He has some good points sometimes, but hes just an average guy like the rest of us. He flies a KC-10 or somesuch in the ANG- he isn't exactly ST6 or a PJ or something super HSLD like that.

Doing that with a brush of any kind won't hurt the bore, it will hurt the brush and shorten its life.

Cleaning a gun first is always a good idea because of potential manufacturing debris inside the bore and moving parts. But your glock should be fine.

If you want to clean your gun and learn, ignore Nutnf and FPS Russia. Watch HICKOK45 on youtube.....especially if you are a Glock owner!

I watched a video of Nutnfancy at this years Shot Show (at the CZ booth) and I found him(Nutnfancy) obnxious (that or trying to look "cool" in front of the CZ guy or both), if I was the CZ guy I would have been unconfortable.

That's what I thought and why I figured running a dry brush through would be adequate to remove any debris.

chk out hickok45's youtube vid on how to clean a Glock. I think he knows a few things about firearms.

He also knows how to have the coolest back-yard on the planet.

Generally not good enough - abrasives etc. could be in there, and a dry brush won't do anything. Brush / patch as usual with your favourite cleaner.

I have had Rugers, for example, with coiled-up metal shavings jammed in the slide rails. That would be a worst-case - even racking the slide was damaging the rail / frame interface.
