Did I get ripped off?

My ghost one (1911) came from double tap sports
White letters (not silver) and belt clip looked different than ghost website also
Shot twice in bad weather and had no ghost lettering left, the logo was ultra fragile

Having a logo rub off in the rain doesn't make it a P.O.S.
Was one of the best race holsters i have ever owned and would still run it
Went with bladetech kydex, scratches the gun but enables the use of a scoop draw technique

UPDATE:

I called Ghost International this morning and told them my issues. They told me that the manufacturer has made runs of products with really cheap paint that flakes off easily and that have some heavier machine markings. I told him I wasn't that concerned with the logo I just wanted to make sure Tenda did get a run of counterfeit holsters. He told me that Tenda is a distributor for Ghost. He also offered to send me a textured plate that sticks on the front of the holster that looks like the original ones did.
To be clear I dont mean to impugn Tenda in anyway. For example: a couple mainstream distributors of Leupold got a run of off-shore knock offs and had to issue a recall on tons of scopes to no fault of their own. I'm just really leary of fake junk. Ghost was fantastic to deal with.

There's a sponsoring vendor that has been known for selling knockoffs, but they should be indicating that it is not authentic. This particular vendor has also been known to use the name of the original for comparison, but last time I checked, they removed the name of the original from the product description when they got some heat from it.

Most vendors here are very reputable though, have you had any word from yours?

Ghost stands behind their product. I had my inner belt start to not stay closed. They sent me a brand new double belt including the inner belt for free. I'm fairly happy with my experience with ghost.

I don't think its a matter of flashy logo's on a product. But why would a manufacturer make an obviously cheaper run of a product ? Did they change the description or lower the price ? I really don't think everything is above board here. I would ask for a refund . It just seems off. I deal direct with Double Alpha. Check them out. Then decide.

Simple economics. If I'm willing to pay you $100 for item X, and you can find a way to get your product costs down while still charging me $100, then it's money in your pocket. Efficient capitalism.

I wouldn't accept the cover-up, they knew of the issue. Demand the QUALITY product you bought in to (Bet they will replace it).

They probably outsourced some if not all the manufacturing, simple economics. Build a reputation of a quality product, charge a premium rate. get a good reputation. Ride on the reputation using inferior manufacturing and parts. fix those ONLY of people that bring up the issue. They know exactly what they are doing.

you don't see Dillon or Hornaday have quality issues.

madcow is right! don't even get me started on hoplite tactical supplies.

Yeah madcow put is as accurately as you can. Funny, since this morning most of the G has flaked off. I know have a HOST holster.
I am starting Steel Challenge pretty soon. I may just have to keep it and call this a lesson learned.

funny thing? tell another competitor that the holster is so fast, that the "G" couldn't stay on.

Sell it to him for 20% more Laugh2

I bought a Ghost One holster form a certain vendor on this site and it looks like ####.
Heavy machine marks, the G on Ghost is rubbing off after touching it and the bag it came in was a Ziplock freezer bag with a home printed sticker on it.

Ive Seen real Ghost bags and they look real. They have Awesome graphics printed into the bag. This #### looks like it came from a Chinese back alley. Any one think this is a Chinese knock-off. I wanted the CGN consensus before I called them back. It looks worse then it does in the pic

Your Ghost holster is NOT a knockoff! Looks exactly like mine! In fact both of mine which I bought at FOC. Same bag, label and logo! Great holsters, really happy with both of mine!

And Wen and Steve at Tenda are stand up folks and am sure they would not jeoproridize their rep with knock off products.

Once again, product quality based on ability to keep logo printed on
Just shoot your gun and use your holster
Expect your trigger guard finish to use on your gun using this holster, this is normal and your gun is not crap if this happens

I would be a little PO'ed about this myself. When I purchase something, because it is supposed to be good quality, I expect quality on everything about it. If a person decides to sell in the future the resale price has went down because of the quality control issues.

Email them with your concerns. They may o may not provide a r placement with an exchange after the fact. They DO stand behind their products.

Ive had great experiences with Tenda. Read my previous post. I did not accuse them of selling counterfeit items but I was concerned that something this unrefined may be a knockoff that one of their suppliers gave them. There are other retailers on CGN that have been known to unabashedly sell fake items at full price.

Ghost took responsibility for more recent productions of less then stellar quality holsters.
