Did I set my standards too high?

I think some of you are missing the point of the OP. Here's my take:
  • He purchased the SIG Legion and really likes it
  • He tried a Glock and didn't like it
  • He's concerned about the possible challenge in finding another handgun he likes as much as the SIG
I don't see anything that suggests he doesn't like the SIG.

He obviously has commitment issues. Can't stay with the one he has...wants to look around to see if there is something better. Well of course there is...it is always just around the bend...once you start chasing skirts...there will always be another one that catches your attention...

I don't read it that way at all. I guess we'll have to wait for the OP to weigh in.

Sorry...couldn't find the "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon. :) But that is kind of the way it goes...at least it has for me. Taken about six years to get to the stage where I really know what I like and what I want, get it, and be satisfied. It really makes sense IMO to try everything you can afford. I no longer have any desires for anything more than what I already have. Having said that, if I won the lottery, I would be doing the same all over again, just at a different level.

Oh I'm very happy with the Sig, and while it's only been to the range once and soon to be more, I can't help but look forward to compare it to other semi-autos and was looking for others who have had the chance before me to try other QUALITY Guns giving me a direction of where to look. The fact is I could have just read other posts instead of bragging but what fun is that? :D

Thats the way I read it as well.

Lefty and Righty...

Standard cant be to high just to low... JP.

Agreed. I will add that high prices do not necessarily equate to high standards, and low prices low standards. Some low dollar guns will impress while some high dollar guns disappoint.

On a side note, I find the styling of Cabot 1911's awful. Anyone else?

If you want an expensive gun, that deliver top performance, go Les Baer, they are for sure the most accurate and best well made 1911 on the market, you have to except finition were they are not top but after shooting your gun you will find this reason so futile...

I have nothing againg the STI, i never owned one but a pistol with plastic parts is a nono for me... JP.

I found the same thing after using a Wilson Combat, they sure feel good and work so well.

I've never owned an STI so can't say. LB is certainly a nice piece and for the money you save on Brown or WC you could have it refinished to your liking. To say it's the most accurate is a stretch but it's better than 99% can utilize. I got rid of my LB for a Brown and don't regret it at all. I've known guys who have done the opposite and been happy.

No plastic? Don't you own and love a G19?

So OP, you decide what's next yet?

Plastic parts that are suppose to be metal, a G19 is a plastic gun and is great for what it is... JP.

Something is off with this picture.

The safety and Mag release and ejection port.

Either a mirrored and modified picture. Or, that one pistol is specifically built to shoot left hand.

**Checked their website and they do make dedicated lefties
