Did Parker Hale Sporterize Rosses?

I saw this rifle on the EE a week or so ago. On the receiver and barrel is stamped PH with a number, I've been wondering whether Parker Hale did this conversion? There would have been plenty of Ross rifles looking for something to do in that time frame...and there would have been lots in England.

Certainly a pretty rifle.

Any Parker Hale conversions I have seen had there whole name on the gun, they even put there name on the muzzles of guns they sleeved

Well - I have one that is marked PLY ### - perhaps PH stands for Patricias Horse?
