Good places to eat in Whitecourt:
Green Gables (the dining room side opens at 500pm and serves good meat, resturant side is good for breakfast)
My Little Sigon (if you like Veitnamese food)

Have to try one of those on my way out of town when heading home. Usually for us, it's a quick trip into town mid-week to top up the gas tanks and the jerry cans followed by a stop at the strip mall on the Hwy for a beer run and either DQ or KFC.
. Damned if after 5 or so days in the bush that burger or chicken don't taste like a little bit of heaven.
Then on the way out of town I usually don't stop until Edson then it's gas and a basket of hot wings for the road.

Oh yeah, not to mention that sitting on a bit of white porcelain when you're in town for the side trip, toilet clean or not, is like rubbing your arse with an oiled sponge!!

Up in Mcmurray we have had snow in every month of the yer!
Somewtimes only a few inches in July/August, but we have had it.
This much snow at this time of year is typical of the foothills /mountain regions.
