I have a quantity of small parts for .22 revolvers with government parts numbers.

In the past did the Canadian Government or Armed Forces use Colt or S&W .22 revolvers for training?

From oldest to more recently: We used Colt Model 1878s, then started using Colt New Service revolvers in .45 Colt in 1899, some Smith & Wesson .44 Specials (some were rechambered in the .455 cartridge), some Smith & Wesson Model 10s and I'm pretty sure we've had Colts in .38 and some .22s but I can't recall the makes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I have the documentation (CFTOs) for them right here at work:

"Revolver, Colt, Police Target Cal. .22" with its entire parts list and "Revolver, .38 cal, Smith & Wesson Special, Model 36, 3" barrel, 5 rounds" also with its entire parts list.

If you have any questions ask them in this thread or in a private message and I'll gladly get some info for you from the books during breaks.
