I still remember the day I paid 350$ for my Cz858...lol.. to bad I had to sell it
The good old days for some of us isn't even that long ago sadly.
The good old days when you could get a crate of 10 SKS in cosmo ready to go with a crate of czech surplus on stripper clips for the price of one VZ 58 in 2020!
I grabbed my 858 for $650 with 4 magazines years ago...didn't think much of it at the time but seems like an incredible deal now that I look back. Milsurps are never a bad investment.

Yes I remember those good days for 650$. Dont forget the sling, test target/rifle already being sighted in.
I bought an 858 back when they first tried banning them and people were dumping them... 400$ + shipping ! Pretty good investment
I just got the Basspro flyer - Chinese SKS for $219.99. Looks like they're selling out before the C-71 hits them in the wallet. I sold my 1951 Tula last month and got a 14" Hatsan Marine pump ;-0

I bought my CZ858 at Williams Arms back in the day for $750. 4 mags, bayonet and a leather mag pouch, they even gave me a free hat. Stupid for selling it, although I did make a profit at the time.

Went to order some parts , the other day....price was almost double, list price. I was told the Canadian dollar...is very low, .55 cent to the US dollar, so most prices will reflect that....even if it was brought into Canada....before the dollar went lower.It’s the Canadian way A....

My first firearm was a cz858 I bought new from CRAFM back in 2009. It was $650 and came with; 4 mags, mag pouch, bayonnet, cleaning kit, BFA, sling and a polymer dragonov style stock and handguard loose in the box... The new ones are close to $1500 and come with 2 mags and that's it. Pretty amazing how things change in a decade!
I also bought a 700 cz858 but we can’t be comparing that to vz58’s since the 858’s were built out of surplus parts and even recycled receivers... which become a problem. Csa vz 58’s were always more... I think around 1000 but I don’t remember for sure.

As I said to a friend recently, you don't sell guns, you just acquire them in different calibers.
