Did you ever buy a rifle not expecting much, but it became a keeper?

I bought a Weihrauch HW52 22lr a couple of years back from Tradex. It is a keeper, very accurate with a beautiful trigger. Hopefully one of my kids will appreciate it one day.

A number of years ago i got a norinco JW-103 off of the EE to use as a plinker with all of the extra 7.62x39 ammo i had for my SKS.

When i got it to the range is was a dream to shoot, very little recoil, every round went bang, and i was getting groups at 100 that were noticeably smaller than my savage .308 i use for hunting was getting, and that was with crappy cheap bulk ammo.

Yes it's cheap, ugly, rough, chinese garbage, but it's one of the few that i doubt i'll ever get rid of, i even grabbed a second one as a spare just in case.
