Did you ever think of adapting an SKS for an M-7 bayonet?

Japanese type 100 submachinegun with an auxilliary bayonet bar. Wouldn't want to have your bayonet lug break off while skewering the
gaijins would you? :p

Never really cared for the Soviet 'butter knife' bayos.

The smart people use them for throwing knives. :p

Nope never thought of it. I like it as is in fact I think it adds to the design as comrade simonov did too. You should try the butter knife out you may be surprised I was. We have plywood sheets to hold targets at the gun club 2 thick. With a quick thrust It went right through and rested at the barrel like there was nothing there. It also ran a ham through with no effort. Sure the blade is dull but with the weight of the rifle its highly effective.

nah, i like the solidly fixed one currently on it. If i need a knife i carry one. personally i find the extra length of an actual full sized bayonet a better than the shorter knife/bayonet types.

I wonder what the range clean up crew thought when replacing the backboard after it got shot out. "Dude, what the hell? It looks like someone stabbed the target board."

Probably blamed it on 'them dirty steel case ammo shooting sks guys!' Might have thought someone was doing some skip shooting.

The best range to be on is the one where you are the only customer.
