Did you fire your new M14?

Anyone know why some are marked "Sprgfd, MI"?
Mine also has "2007" on its receiver.

I thought the reference to Springfield to be weird.

It deterred me from even purchasing it...but seriously, I suppose Bass Pro has it for less.

i have brought my m14 out a few times since i received it, right around christmas. It seams to have problems cycling though, i have ordered a shim kit hoping this will help.
