Shot a .458 only 3 times before I decided that it was too much gun for me, I also wouldn't want to shoot more than a 1/2 a box out of my .375 H+H, but can shoot the .300 wm all day and love it, nice shooting rifle.

Yea the big uns are fun but, when the only guy loving your Magnum more than you is your Chiropractor (buggered up neck from a mis spent youth) you gotta make some decisions.

I love shooting my ptrd but i flinch now when firing my buddies 300 win mag. It kicks more than i care for and the first time firing it I bruised my forehead when the scope caught my hatbrim.

I broke my nose this fall taking a running shot at a 4x4 WT. My scope hit me right on the edge of my nose where bone meets cartlidge. 3X777 pellets, and a 250 gr slug. My doctor laughed at me because I missed the deer. I voted for "adapted to it like a man" because this is the 3rd time I got scope kissed, and I keep shooting. It was all, "operator error", I cinched up on the stock and put my face closer to the scope than it should have been. My bad!

Ya getting scope kissed sucks. I leaned into a shot with a 300 win mag once and opened my forehead up pretty good. I hope that never happens again.

We have matching scars.... Two shots into sighting in my 7mm RM. After my first shot, I zoomed in to have a closer look at where it hit, forgot to zoom out..... BOOM! ouch...

I've never shot a truly hard kicker.... the biggest I own / have shot is my .338 Win. It's not too bad.... my buddy's wife, who probably weighs 105 pounds soaking wet, shot it and didn't think it was too bad!
