die hards?

I spent the last 3-4 years duck hunting in the Saint John area in NB quite seriously, but I am getting away from it. It's quite pricy and my wife doesn't like eating them. :( I am going to try moving towards rabbits and finding bigger deer, and restrict my duck hunting to opportunistic sniping from now on. New 10 gauge should help with that; as long as I have an early afternoon at work, I can hunt all my walk-em-up honeyholes on the way home.

I would say the days of me getting up at 4 am to hunt a tidal creek over decoys are pretty much over, though. :( Maybe I'll be able to get my kid into it someday and have a new excuse to go.

I think Chad and I are going to head back next fall for a week or two to do some hunting. I'll be checking in with you if we do!!

We used my foxpro spitfire this past season SB, it's not much of an e-caller compared to some but it did work. We only threw out my 3 dozen Dakota FB's on mixed species hunts but we were able to draw birds in between that and the e-caller. A bigger spread I am sure might have helped, or at least we are hoping it would......will?? LOL

Canada's were tough this fall at times from what we were hearing from others but Chad (Chisholm) has a beauty 14 dozen FB Dakota spread now that really sealed the deal, especially on the Lessers!!

Ontario was sporting some of the toughest Canada's I've ever seen this year. They are turning into snows out here...doesn't help that everyone and their dog is hunting them these days. That's why I run the spread I run, need any advantage I can get...gotta stay on top of the game.
let me know when you'll be out brotha, we'll play
