Diemaco C8 Uppers, Bolt Carriers & Charging Handles.

Got mine today. Definitely has seen lots of contact and wear....internals fit nicely together I guess that's the main thing. Matched up nicely with a SGW lower. Charging Handle is a colour I have never seen before. Some minor rust on both sights. Diemaco Wear on FA.jpgDiemaco Upper.jpg

Received my upper today. Thank you SFRC for the fantastic service! Although it is not in perfect condition, I knew that before I ordered. It looks the same as the one I used to be issued and used for many years...perhaps even a little better.

Mine had some light surface rust . So had been put away wet.
I used diesel fuel and bristle brushes to scrub everything. Then some light Balistol oil rubbed in so rust disappeared
Looks good now and barrel appears to be in great shape.
Carried lots and used little... I used a new bolt and charging handle. Colt U.S. Nice snug fit

I fully understand that this is surplus.

Got mine today, rust under the hand guard and surface rust on the barrel, lots of scuffs on the upper, but as far as being used, barely. No brass on the case deflector, little wear at the latch indentation for the charging handle. I did a Lee Enfield bullet test in the end of the muzzle and compared it to my less than 500 rounds shot barrel from my IUR and looks the same. Charging handle as described above, but mine was in very poor shape, but the bolt was in fantastic shape. Put my used CC black hand guard on, as the ones I got were rattles and a spare CC SA charging handle I had and brought new life to the old girl.

Going to restore her if she shoots well and it's nice to have a piece of history.
So thanks Ryan

mine came yesterday. There are a few scuffs, but nothing major, bore is fantastic and shinny. 14.5" comes up really well with fixed irons, and the weight vs. the iur is a world apart. Over all im really happy. Its like my SA20's long lost brother finally came home.
Thank you very much SFRC!!!

I got my two yesterday. They are indeed surplus and fairly well worn, lots of handling marks / bumps / scratches. But that is what you expect with a surplus firearm. The barrels on mine look really good, a little bit of Cam pin wear on one of them. No rust at all, under the handguards the barrels look brand new. Handguards are fairly loose, and I one rifle had a replacement handguard, so a bit of a mismatch there. The charging handles are worn but functional. The BCG's are decent. One BCG has definetely seen a fair amount of use compared to the other one and it has a replacement bolt in it and it has a number (serial number??) engraved on the carrier. Overall I'm just happy to have them. Now to turn one of the uppers into a C7 :)

Hmmm, I must have lucked out. The upper that I got looks to have been barely carried and rarely fired. I really wanted to recreate the C8 that I carried in Afghanistan on my first tour in early to mid-2002. I had the spare Redi-Mag on hand, which is what I used overseas. Now I'm just waiting on the correct Fibrelite Buttstock to come in from the good 'ole USA. Should be here any day now...

Anyhow, here's what I'm talking about. Did anyone else score one like mine? Let's see some more pics!

The shine on the barrel in the last pic is oil. The finish is still about 95% phosphated.

Looks like that one is about as perfect as you can get.
;)

Wow that one's in extremely nice shape.

I personally want one that has heavy wear on the exterior.

I was just notified that these were back in stock but they show as all sold out. A glitch? Or did they go that fast?

I managed to grab an upper and a bcg today when I got the email notification. I can't wait to get it as I was pretty bummed out when I missed them the first time.
Hopefully its a glitch and you're not SOL Leg. I know that feeling
