Prolly so they cannot get a discount and then sell it for a profit. Like ALOT of people did with the SF45 and TAC 9 that Para offered. Buying them for 800, selling them for 1400+ Then also the Savage 308 for 599, the next week, every 2nd post was FS Savage 308 for Retail.
I am active miltary and did buy a rifle at 2299.00. I asked at time if there was a discount and felt it was over priced then. Seeing the price drop is great and what it should of been all along, The difference of my purchase and now cost me 300 plus taxes. I will make a point of never doing bussness with CC or any others involved with that transaction again. People who bought these rifles from start should of got a refund for the difference. The whole way this played out kinda ruined the purchase.
Email Korth and CC and complain!!!!
I'm not trying to stir the pot but if I bought one of these at full price and then this came out I would be contacting the company I bought it from and asking when my rebate will be mailed.

Ouch man, that's a HUGE hit. The original price never sat well with me, and not only was it WAY beyond my paygrade (more than I clear in a year as a Reservist if I don’t go on course or ex), but way beyond what I was willing to sacrifice to get it. I don’t mean to pour salt in the wound, but it cost you a lot more than $300 if you paid $2,299 a month ago. E-mail Korth if you want to know exactly how much you’re out.
A lot of people were unhappy with the price, for many it was just beyond our means. There were a lot of pissed off people in the community, but of course, there were some that could afford it and make it happen. My guess is incredibly poor sales in August and September reflected the sentiment (or rather, resentment) in the community and CC/Korth responded.

Yes, it's a shame at how this has played out for both the consumers and the retailers. It's unfortunate to be left sour after spending a good bit of money on what should be a rifle you're proud to own. It mightn't help, but I'd be inclined to contact both Korth and CC and explain to them your sentiments.

Thanks all and I did follow up with email provided, Thanks DILLIGAF, Yes, having use this rifle throughout my carreer, I had been waiting, as others here for some time. I did ask about the miltary discount and voice my concerns with cost at the beginning. I hope Korth or CC will right a wrong here. This cost addition effected thier most loyal customers and that bad bussiness. The price correction so early confirms just that.
