Diemaco SA Rifle Pics - post 'em here

When the C8 surplus uppers were for sale, there were a few different casting marks in the bunch. Wondering if anyone that picked one of these up got markings different than the pics below.

Thinking there might be one marked C M

2nd one is C "D" H

Have a buddy that has this, very unique. All Diemaco marked.
Here is a link to a write up of some origin, but was wondering if any of the cgn members may have some more specifics about its C8 model, numbers produced and any other information regarding province issued etc.

Very cool. I wonder if you're buddy ever lived in Kitchener or did a Diemaco/Colt Canada armourers course. First time I've ever seen a light from (or atleast engraved) by them.

Barrel matches the Dutch 14.5" contract. During the 00's when the CAF was seeing more carbines being serviced and a number of LEO departments were ordering/issuing carbines, sometimes the contract overflow and trial stuff ended up discounted to LEO orders.

Want to bump this one....maybe someone can confirm or deny any other castings in existence. d:eek:)

Crazy question... did anyone here ever see a CF issued C7 or C8 with a Rapidex knob on the rear sight in place of the A1-style "wheel needing a tool"? Getting ready to order one for a different build (the Charger MWS's rear sight uses A1 mechanicals) and debating whether or not to snag a couple more for C.'s uppers to make fine tuning a little easier for her despite possibly being "Not Battlefield Correct."

They weren't issued with the Rapidex knobs, but they did exist down south on LEO orders. During the M16A2/C7 trials, an iteration was produced using the speed knobs of some form.

Does anyone know anything about a green BUIS? I have a black one too that had the Devtek “D” but this one is reportedly Colt Canada yet I see no cage code or any markings for that matter.

Only time I’ve ever seen this is on Nordic Marksman’s website under their Carbines/Rifles Colt Canada page where it shows a C8A3 and a green BUIS ahead of the Elcan.

Yes CC, green is the new style. We have boxes of them kicking around. I'll take a look and see if there is any markings

Wow. Boxes.

You personally or at the base? I notice lots of pics where the BUIS isnt used. Do they just get tossed aside or are they not regularly issued?

On base, I have not seen many people use them either. But they are available to all

Here's some pics of them being used
