Diff between Federal 215 and CCI 250 Primers?

As the title says, is there a big difference between Federal 215 and CCI 250 Primers?

As far as I know the Federals are hotter/ offer a larger flash. I had some articles on primer brisance I will have to dig up. If you look at load data for very large case capacity cartridges (e.g. .460WBY, .470NE etc) they almost always use fed215's. How much more than the CCI250 I don't know.

Hmm same question just popped up on another reloading forum. I had a feeling I'm not the only Canuck who visits both I use CCI250's for everything cause it's what I have.

the 215 is hotter than the cci 250. acuracy wise i don't see much difference. larger cases i use fed 215 or winlr smaller cases get the cci 250. i use magnum primers for all my loads.
