Difference between delorme and garmin explorer?

Has anybody compared the delorme to the garmin? Just wondering if the screen on the garmin is bigger? Any added features from the delorme? Does the phone app work with them if you're out of cell range?

Looks like there's still a few delorme on the market and they're a bit cheaper.

I can't help with the comparison, but I will say that the Garmin inReach works great. Just got back from a moose hunt in NW Ontario and there is no cell service for 160 kms and the Garmin performed flawlessly. Was able to communicate with pilot regarding pick-up timing and weather on his cell phone. Great added level of comfort for remote outings.
