Can someone explain the differences between a hk usp compact tactical marked CT on the slide and the ones marked COMPACT on the slide?

Also, am I correct in thinking that all models with the LEM trigger have the safety/decock lever removed?

Thanks

All lem have no safety or decocker, lem is dao, you can add the safety on if you want to.

Usp CT is compact tactical, so I imagine it has a threaded barrel and raised sights and a match trigger

Thanks. I don't want the safety. So I think I'm right in that all lem are v7 then.

Yes the compact tactical has those things. But I've seen some marked compact. And some marked CT On the slide. But both sold as compact tacticals. Is there any differences or did they just change the marking at some time?

Variant 8 is the LEM I believe the variant 7 is heavy lem or standard dao. There is no light lem for a standard usp unless I am much mistaken, Avenia might have more info on that. Either way, All usps are 100% trigger interchangable, so you can have a v1 and convert it to a v8 without voiding warranty granted you are using all original hk parts and not modifying them. If you are using the v1 flat TRS you can have the light lem in the usp.

Incidentally why a compact and not a full size?

I just prefer the compact.
Ok. So v8 is the one. Arma coat in Edmonton say they have a lem compact tactical. I'll call them to confirm it's the one I want.

I definitely want a lem style, I'm so used to using glocks and dak sigs in work there's no way I could get used to a safety or a sa/da.

So it's v8 I want then it seems.

Can't go wrong with lem, that's what I have in my P30L. If you want to try lem out before purchasing let me know we can meet up at the range and give it a shot or two.

The CT or Compact Tactical is a model offered in the US as a tactical gun with a threaded barrel and is marked as such on the slide. But before this model became widely available the usp compact .45's brought in to canada were simply hk usp 45 compacts with threaded barrels as the regular barrel is prohib. Thats the difference CT on the slide other then that both are identical.

I thought tacticals had raised sights for suppressor work?

I thought that. But when you look on hk USA website the compact tactical is marked compact on the slide. The one marked CT isn't shown on there any more.

I'm guessing there's no difference. They just stopped marking it ct and just mark them all compact now.
