Just wondering if somebody could go over the major differences between these 2 guns. I'd also like opinions on if the sp-01 is worth the $100 price difference.
Thanks

Main difference is that it has a dust cover with a rail which means it weights a bit more. (42 vs 35oz IIRC). Sights are also different and the trigger is a little better because of lack of firing pin block (personally I like to have one). for a competition gun with no decokcer a firing pin block would be a useful feature IMO. and yes I've seen one gun go off during a manual decock.

Regular SP-01s (not Shadow) still have firing pin block. Those are SP-01 and SP-01 Tactical (decocker model).

Main differences - 1) full lengh dust cover with accessories rail; 2) tritium night sights.

There are few variations that may not be available in Canada as of yet. There is Shadow T that is built in USA with 75SA frame and Shadow upper (a little different upper too). Those come with either fixed or adj rear sights. The new Shadow T's are not on approved IDPA or IPSC lists as of yet.

I sold my 75B and bought a CZ SP01 Shadow just this month and so far no my only regret is that I didn't buy the Shadow in the first place.

Was it an SP01? I use the decocker on my tactical all the time. Or by manual did you mean letting the hammer down with the thumb?

The finish seem perfectly normal on my gun ( it is not stainless). No marks or anything as it is new but even the finish on my 75B was nice, kind of a black mat I guess.

Did you know if its possible to have a stainless in the shadow similar from the 75B stainless edition i like it

Note the differences in the manual thumb safety and the sights as well.

i think the big diff with the shadow is that it comp ready ,out of the box, with the little extras you will want, i find it an excelent value & a good all round centre fire, for a one gun shooter.

I have never seen a stainless Shadow and I don't think there is one on the cz-usa web site either but you may want to check it out or go to cz-custom ?
