Different approach to Henry AR - 7

So with all this extra time on my hands i decided to start few new projects. Here is the first one, ultra light .22 with some variable zoom. I made this custom stock and sourced an old scopechief 3-8× scope. As you see it it's only 3.5lb and feels nicely balanced. My range is closed so no chance to test it out, i will update this post once i do.
I know that this rifle is designed to fit into the stock and float, i have the original stock for that, this laminated stock set up is mainly for range fun, could be fun for the kids as well :). Let me know what you guys think.

Very Kool ! Good Job ! RJ

That's pretty cool looking. How challenging was it getting the hole for the bolt to attach it to the receiver lined up correctly?

Curious to hear how the 15 round magazine works for you? Is it any easier to take apart than the magazines that came with the rifle?

Triple K 15 rd mag showed up.. i will have to file the mag catch hole a bit, it does not catch.

Looks like there is room to store the long magazine in the butt stock with a bit of drilling and milling....
The front sight needs to go, it's an odd ball dovetail but it can be filled larger to match a typical dovetail.

That might have been the key :)

Mine was pretty inaccurate and I didn't overly enjoyed shooting it so off it went.

To OP; great work, bet it feels a lot better than the clunky factory stock.

Yes, it feels really good. Very light too. Cant wait go put some rounds through it.
