Thread hijack...

I have a a 226 with E2 grips. I don't care for them and want to put on the classic Sig grips.

Will my current de-#### lever and slide release work? Or, will I need different parts?

Yours looks great, by the way.

You can exchange grips on an E2 with any 'regular' Sig grips without any modifications. I have an original E2 with SRT and the short trigger. Trigger was to close with the E2 grips plus the E2 grips force your hand lower on the gun raising the bore axis (look at 2 sigs side by side, one with E2 and one with regular grips). I installed Houge black checkered G10's and have never looked back. I would recommend NOT using Houge's hex head screws. Mine got stuck. I now use the stock slotted screws with a #60 O ring. If you don't use an O ring on the G10's they will loosen up every time you shoot. I actually ordered Vitron O rings from John Harrison. Much better than the rubber ones IMO. Not just for 1911's (although I use them on my Les Baer) and not a gun part so he can ship to Canada:
