Different kinds of rimfire competition

sounds like fun.... and cheap to get into!

I'd really like to see this take off... maybe with a full-fledged Mini-rifle class (with room for the pump/lever/bolt action guys, and the semis) and provision (now this is where it could get interesting) for "two-gun" shoots.....

Well, I was thinking of something like a 5 stage event. I haven't gotten to those IPSC videos yet (rank on: sick, tons of work to do, and still on dial up rant off) but anyway....

-2 Types of events, one for rimfire pistols and one for rimfire revolvers, conversion kits for full-size guns ie glocks and 1911's with conversion kits will not be allowed, purpose-built .22's such as the CZ kadet or the kimber .22's are fine (I guess-- perhaps if there's enough demand there could be a special class where these types of guns compete but I don't feel that a 1500$ 1911 with conversion kit is in the same class as a 310$ ruger
-I'm hoping for this to be primarily for Ruger MK I/II/III and their 22/45 counterparts, Beretta Neos, Walther P22, Browning Buckmarks, and other such pistols
-I don't think that an even where the most accurate pistol wins will be any fun, I'm not hoping for something where your 5000$ 'tree branch' style olympic .22 (forget who said that but it was hilarious) will automatically beat my P22 because it's more accurate
-Having said that, it cant be too easy eh
-Several stages something like
Stage 1, something that involves rapid fire at multiple targets. Perhaps 5 targets at stagered distances with a time limit of 30 seconds or something like that, 2 rounds per target
Stage 2, 10 silhouettes at various distances, 10 rounds, have at em, most knocked down wins, not timed
Stage 3, 5 silhouettes at various distances, unlimited rounds, must knock them all down, afastest time is a winner
Stage 4, 10 rounds at a single target, best grouping wins, 60 second limit, or perhaps just a plain ole scored target to test accuracy
Stage 5, not sure yet, this is where the IPSC videos will come in handy
Stage 5
