How many models, or types of pu scopes exist? I heard that the svt pu scope can be mounted on a mosin nagant, but a mosin pu cannot be put on to an svt-40. Is this due to a difference in the 2 models scope bodies? Are there other types of pu scopes?

My replica pu has a larger diameter scope body before the windage and elivation nobs. The forward half of my scope's body has a smaller diameter. Which type of pu scope, or generation is my scope replica based off of?

The PU Mosin scope cant be mounted on the SVT mount because the rear portion is larger. Front diameter are same for both scope so a SVT scope will fit on Mosin mount. The SVT type scope production stopped in 1944. SVT scope with "CB" marking on the elevation turret mean that the scope is calibrated for the Mosin M91/30. I'm aware of 3 models of PU scope, 1 for the Mosin and 2 for the SVT.

There was also a developmental model PU scope made of aluminium alloy with brass lens caps and a square turret housing.... I have one on my arsenal sniper.

Well, the scope is undated, but the KMZ logo is just barely visible, but they were only made in 1942. The rifle is a 1943 Ishevsk. The serial number on the scope doesn't match the the scope serial on the rifle, but it's all original scope, mounts and unrefurbed rifle, so I suspect it's a wartime rematch.

The rifle isn't a refurb at all. It's an original WW2 sniper rifle with an original WW2 scope, they just don't serial number match.
