Hello,

This morning while de-priming a bunch of 9mm I came across some casings that had a different primer in them. Anyone know what they are? It's the one with the two holes in it.

Thanks.

Berdan primed.

For the purpose of economical and pactical reloading I will call them non reloadable

Most ammunition primed with berdan primers is corrosive.

Firearms shooting corrosive primers should be cleaned using boiling water, dried, and oiled as soon as possible after use.

Trashed them is what I did. Thanks for the quick replies.

I had never seen them before. The brass was a distinctly different colour as well. I can pick them out just by colour but I checked every case just to be sure I didn't jam them into my de-primer die again.

Check one with a magnet. I bet you it's steel cased.

yeah that doesn't look like a brass case at all. If you have enough, and they ARE brass i'd keep the min the scrap pile. Last time after about a year of shooting I recycled 10 pounds of brass at a scrap place by my work for almost 17$.

Are primers brass or copper?
