Just curious as to what is out there? I know about the NM sights ect, but was looking for something with a large aperture for low light shooting, or for shorter distance shooting with faster sight acquisition. Outside of drilling out a norinco rear sight are there any options out there?

Something like this...?

I tried looking for one a few years ago, but wound up just drilling a few spare Norc apertures out to different sizes to test.

I didn't go all the way up to ghost-ring diameter, I think 1/8th was the largest I tried. I found it a bit easier to centre the front sight quickly, but it seemed like the post was a little less sharp viewed through the larger hole (for me anyway) so I wound up going back to standard apertures.

A ghost ring will do that. Your's is a big too big though. I think(didn't look) William's sells 'em. Probably a lot easier to drill one though. I'd measure a No. 4 battle sight and drill to that diameter.
