Different Type of Hunting Thread - Relocating to BC

There might be some ####hole towns and neighborhoods in BC but it definitely has nowhere that is lacking in sporting opportunities or natural wonders; even if that's fishing for Salmon in Richmond or grapevines and figs in your backyard.

Just my opinion as someone who has been damn near everywhere in the province including the northern interior/Rocky mountain trench and HG

To riff on Ardent; you can go from quails and wine barrels to sub boreal expanse and Elk hunting in a day's drive

It was always fun trying to explain to people in the US, and Ontario that the town of 3,500 people I lived in in the northern rockies was about as far from Vancouver as you could get culturally and geographically and no, it doesn't rain that much, unless you count the frozen kind

Agreed, it really depends on what you want. The, ahem, "culture" of various small towns can vary quite a bit, so if that matters to you it's best to spend some time touring around and giving things a sniff.
 
Definitely a shortcoming of a lot of the smaller communities in the peace. Oil patch parking lots but hunting and fly fishing in half an hour
