Difficulty removing lower forearm pin on VZ-58

I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to remove the pin in lower forearm on my VZ-58. I've tried using a nail driver tool the same diameter of the pin and a mallet but had no luck and stopped before I did any damage to the area around the pin. Anyone have any tips or ideas to get it out.

Try punching it out from the opposite side. The Pin has a wider flare at one end...

A solid punch and a solid hit. I had a hell of a time with mine too.

Which way doesn't matter as only the older cz rifles had roll pins. This is more of a round solid pin then anything else.

Like suggested a good solid whack will don't the trick
