Dillon 1050?

Several people have told me they dealt with Dillon directly over the internet or phone and got exactly what they needed quickly and for a fair price.
 
Buying from P&D or the shooting edge will be equal to or less than ordering it from the states. By the time you pay shipping, duty, tax and brokerage, the initial savings is gone.
I bought a Dillon XL650 from Phoenix in Edmonton.
In my opinion Dillon is worth the money. 2 - XL650's adorne my bench.
Don't forget all the accessories! There are some must haves and some that you don't need.

My vote is for TSE, bought my 650 from them shipped to my door for less then anybody else, P&D seemed a bit pricey when I picked up 2 caliber conversions a few weeks after I bought my press but gotta give them credit for at least stocking a pile of dillon products!

It was mentioned the other day in a thread that TSE has a 1050 setup for .223 currently in stock, best to call them as they get busy and fall behind on online updates and email.
 
TSE told me they we putting Dillon products up 10% by Jan 15th....

It would deal direct with dillon and pick it up in the us...its like 20 bucks to ship anywhere in the usa but over 200 to ship to Canada... YMMV

I bought from Dillon direct, shipped to my door. Shipping was $180, plus $80 for FedEx to get it to clear customs. I bought a 1050 plus a bunch of accessories. TSE didn't have one in stock in .40, neither did P&D.

Only problem with it was this:

However, that could have happened to any one at any time.

If I was closer to the border, I would have got it shipped to the US, then gone and picked it up. If you have that option, that would be your best bet.
 
These days Dillon is shipping USPS air mail so shipping and duty/tax are as low as possible. I believe you can ask for FedEx if you want it but by default it will be air mail. I have been buying my stuff direct lately. Haven't bought a press in quite a while but probably have bought about $3k worth of stuff from them in the last 2-3 months, and other than having to go to the post office it's been completely painless.

The downside to air mail though is no tracking number, but I'll take the cheaper shipping and lack of brokerage fee BS over that any day.

For smaller items, they send airmail, like you said. For a 4' x 2' box (ie, the 1050) FedEx was the only option they gave me
