Well after close to 50,000 reloads over the years, and I bought it used:eek: It finally shiit the bed. Wonder if they outsourced to China for the casting? Anyway I'll phone them tomorrow for a replacement part. Lucky I have a second one, so no down time. Enjoy

Not sure, was loading up some 500 S&W and notice that the primers were sitting kind of proud. Loaded up some 338lm and the handle was fully home ie up stroke and the primers again was proud. Well a case rolled onto the floor and when I reached down for it I noticed a large crack and movement in the casting as I wiggled the handle. Anyway, minor setback. Got an excuse to order some more goodies while I'm at it.
 
Phone Dillion up and tell them the handle broke. They will send you a new one . They did fon my square deal a few years ago.

I told you you couldn't reload 50 BMG with Sm base dies;):p
 
Hey, you have my (ex-gov't service) desk! Although I mounted my press on the pull-out writing surface above the right hand drawer. I use butterfly nuts, and wedges to keep it steady while in use, and store it in the bottom right hand drawer when not.
That's the first time I've seen a press fail like that, but I'm sure Dillon will make it all right for you.
 
After 50,000 of your use and who knows how many before you, I'd say that is pretty decent service.
I'll put money on them giving you a new press if you send it to them.

Comparable to Lee? Give me a break...
 
All is good, part on its way. I asked if the machine was casted in China like RCBS? He said, SIR all are parts are made in the good old USA:p Riiighttt, just like Harley, Leupold, RCBS, but I didn't want to argue:p

Glad your up and running. They are nice presses but i prefer my LnL.
Gotta love dillon customer support though
 
Just chucking shiit, as we say in the navy:D Awesome company with the best warranty in the business, and the broads that grace the cover of their catalogues are awesome too.

Not comparing it to a Lee (DOH!), but my Lee (20+years ago) broke in the exact same spot after loading maybe 5000 rounds of big rifle stuff.

Similar design flaw....How's that? :D

This is MINE last year and I bought in 1989 and been loading pistol ever since !! Dillion send me the part ASAP

Clearly Dillon should recall all of these poorly engineered products if the problem is that common! :nest::nest::nest::nest::nest: ;);) Just kidding, of course, that's incredible service from both the press and the company.
