I have just set up my new 550 press :D and seem to be having a problem. Powder does not get fed into the brass on a regular basis (only about 1/2 the time). Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

I'll call Dillon in the next couple of days, but thought someone might have ideas too.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm loading 9mm.

Is the "anti-bridging" baffle in the powder holder (a black pyramid at the bottom)? If that's not it, then the only other thing I can think of is that you're not getting a full back-and-forth motion on the powder bar, so you'd have to make sure it's adjusted properly (as suggested above).

It Works!!

Thanks guys! I didn't realize that the powder fail safe return bar was necessary to re-set the powder, I thought it was a back up only....

I installed it before all this, but I guess the plastic wing nut wasn't tight enough..... it is now and the press works great:D

Now I'll load up a bunch and go :shotgun:

Thanks CGN'ers!!
