I'm having a debate with myself about either buying a new 550C or upgrading my actual 550B frame kit and crank upgrade to transform it into a 550C. But then I asked myself why would I even bother to spend even 1 dollar at all.
My question is what a 550C would give me over 550B that much that I should spend the money and just do it. Other than the zerc for greasing what else is worth the upgrade ?
I ask because my 550B is working like a champ even though I never greased the thing in over 15 years. I know I should take it apart and grease it.
Thank you

My 550B is going on 20 years. I shot a bit of oil on the big "ram" about 5 years ago and that's been it for maintenance except to replace the cotter pin on the primer catcher.
(I know the manual says grease only, I saw that after I did it)

I've been thinking about upgrading to a 650/750 or 1050 but can't justify the expense.

Thought about it as well, decided to pull it apart and grease it. Not hard to do at all. I don't think I spent an hour doing it. Dillon has some good videos on how to do it.

If it ever breaks, Dillon warranty support is excellent.
That said, how often the thing should be greased? Every X rounds where X = ?

I agree with all of you gents. The 550 is all I need. I'm not even remotely tempted to get the 750. I think I should just keep the money for powder and primers and just give the press a good ole greasing and cleaning and be done.
Thank you all for the input.
