Hello all.

I just recently obtained a new Dillon 650, I also purchased the P&W Auto drive for it.
I seam to be having trouble with fine tuning the system and was wondering if there are any members in or around the Waterloo area with a little know how that could possibly help?

I would really appreciate any help and if necessary I am willing to compensate anyone willing to physical show me where I am going wrong with the setup.

I am in the Williamsburge area of Kitchener.

Thanks for looking

Wow congrats! I'd love an auto drive for my 650 but I think that will have to wait till I move to a 1050.

What is wrong with your setup? I personally find the 650 has a few areas that can cause issues just manually feeding so I'm sure an auto drive would be a challenge.

Cheers

It was all set up and working fine, I loaded 100 rounds to test the functionality before attaching the auto drive.
Now I cant get the shell plate to line up properly with the tool head.

Now that does seem strange since the shell plate is indexed by the metal ball underneath. It locks it into position each time using the spring that is under it.

Without seeing it I would suspect that the drive is not letting the plate come all the way down so the "tomahawk" cam grabs the shell plate and moves it to the next station. Just thinking out loud here though.

However the being said, you should be able to move the shell plate by hand and feel it snap into position when the ball indexes the plate, it should be under the tool head perfectly when locked into place (by that ball).

What is the symptom? The plate is moving but doesn't stop in exactly the right place under the tool head?

Cheers

The plate indexes properly. I think the issue is that the main shaft is not lining up when the auto drive is bolted to it.
The press runs fine without the auto drive but wont quite line up when on the auto drive.

I think it is an issue with placement and adjustment, just not sure how to fix it.
