Has anyone used these "upgrades" on their Dillon 650s?

Upgrade kit

I'm interested in smoother running to cut down on spillage. The 650 is a great machine and runs well but after a reloading session I see powder flakes left over the press so I must be losing a little here and there so if I can smooth things up that will help to eliminate this

Yeah, I bought something very similar from the guy who's up in Alaska, I think. Hiskit also has parts to smooth out the camming parts that run against each other to advance the shell holder plate.

Anyways, it was a little more complicated than simple "bolt on" where you swap parts in and out, but only took a small amount of time to get everything just right. And it really does make my 650 run a lot smoother, at least when you're loading short stubby pistol cases to near capacity.

There's at least three or four guys out there offering pretty much the same thing in upgrades to smooth out operation.

I'd happily buy it again.

Pretty sure I've spotted the same kit

So what are we talking about to fine tune it? Filing stuff etc?

I bought mine from eBay. Works really well. Bought the kit with the new needle bearing, resin detent ball, powder knob and case feed rod / roller thing. Add a little grease and smoothed it right out.
