Dillon case lube on Pistol cases

Looking to use Dillon case lube on my 650 to make it cycle easier, any Canadian locations that have it without charging a fortune in shipping.

I've seen several folks recommend Hornady one shot and it's appealing not to have to clean off the cases again.

Any thoughts as to which may be better and cleaner for the press and cases.

Ottawa area suppliers would be great...

the boothleg formula is the same as dillon , 1 part liquid lanolin to 8/12 parts isopro . the 1:12 is good for str wall brass .

Hmm any recommended sources for the Lanolin and that's 100% alcohol correct

If you have any Lee case lube, mix that with 99% isopropyl alcohol to get the same effect. I can size my 500mag brass with my pinky! The only issue is a bit of residue, I just use paint thinner on a towel and shake some rounds about to remove it.

Anyone use either product(s) on their straight wall cases and not cleaned them after? Any build up on dies or case feeder tube etc.
No fowling of primers or powder?

You have to remove the sizing lube or you will have excessive bolt thrust.
You will get build up, that's natural.
No fowling because I remove the lube.

Check your local pharmacy. 99% Iso alcohol should be readily available. Lanolin is usually under baby supplies.

I have used Dillon case lube and liked it.

For small number of .44-40 cases I use Lee case lube.

I find I only need to lube every 3rd or 4th case with my fingers, the resistance is the when to lube indicator.

but I'm trying to get away from handling every case and lube if possible in a batch for pistol..
I have a case dispenser so the more I can automate the better.

I'm using Hornady one shot for my 550 pistol reloading, spray it into plastic bag, put cases and roll them, after that they go to press for reloading.

I have a case dispenser so the more I can automate the better.

I put my brass in a plastic container and give it 3-4 sprays of the mix I said above. Shake it around then let it dry for a few minutes and your good to go.

Pharmacies usually carry lanolin, and they also carry the alcohol, so you can make it yourself. Wikipedia says the 2%-98% Lanolin/Alcohol ratio is GTG, but to warm the alcohol up to 110 F before mixing them. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanolin#Applications)

Otherwise, CRAFM has a ton of Dillon lube in stock (in those spritzer bottles).

Did you try any of your local Dairy farm suppliers????




Its 99.7% lanolin and it will even cure any puss filled sores on your brass....................

Just don't take too long rubbing it on and end up milking the job.....
