Is it possible to extend protruding length of the decapping pin in the Dillon spring activated sizing/decapping die? The caliber is 40S&W. I have a suspicion that the spent primers are not being punched out of the brass on my Super 1050 as I get on average 4 - 6 rounds out of a 100 reloaded with either missing primers (they are flying out of the machine crumpled) or with squeeshed primers in the cases. I know that 1050 has an inherent problem with primers seating, but this percentage is a bit too much. If anybody using Super 1050 can think of any other reason why this is happenning, please share.

A problem I had with the Dillon .40 die was that the pin would punch the primer and get stuck in it, then pull the old primer back in. A very experienced reloader ( a man who has taught me many tricks as well) suggested that I file the the end of the pin and give it a slight bend.
he showed me one of his. After doing this I never had an issue with primers in my .40
and its only in .40 that it does this.. no answer as to why.
