Dillon RL 550: Customized Primer Low alarm

Just wanted to share with you my small side project...
since I don't have the primer low alarm when I bought my RL550 , I figure, I should be able to make one.....

Use the primers to closed a circuit and it beeps if no current across primer tube?

I just use a hollow plastic tube marked for last 10 primers with a hex key insert into top for extra weight.
Works well on my LNL AP.
I guess I can use the plastic tube as a switch rod with 9v contacts.

@ diopter: well, no current to the primer tube!!
I don’t want any spark and make boom thing!!
It will be like Dillon’s one, micro switch activated.
The difference is to use 9 V battery with a low battery indicator to be able to replace battery shad of time.
Don’t want any miss primer.

Maybe file a patent for it?! Lol!!

Just making sure.
Even 9v might set off a primer. Have to test that out one day.

Interesting what I dug up about normal primers not being electrically sensitive to normal battery voltages and amperage.
