Dillon RL 550B

Thanks Flinter.

Just called and there is no issue sending to me. I thought there was going to be a bunch of BS getting the press to Canada (restriction crap that I always run into), but they say there's no issues...just order online and then pay the duty, GST fees on my end.

Check with The Shooting Edge and P&D. They are both stocking Dillon dealers in Western Canada and, once you factor in the actual shipping cost, you might be pleasantly surprised by how close the pricing is.

The Shooting Edge or P&D will give faster service as their products are on this side of the border already

Border service is slow

Well, I would certainly prefer to buy Canadian to support the dealers up here. Email sent to them re price, shipping etc. Have the ABC's of reloading book on it's way, so I'll do some reading. Gun buddy also has a few reloading books that I can peruse.

New to reloading, but after a 2 hour newbie sesion yesterday watching the process, I know it's something I will really enjoy.

Will try to limit my Q's on here to a minimum unless I really get stuck :)

Thx

PS the wife thinks I'll become a real hermit in my gun room!

I just ordered a 650 with casefeeder and a set of dies and it took less than a week to get here straight from dillon. They sent it fedex express. Prices including shipping were very competative.

Thanks all. Phoned or emailed to all of the folks you suggested. Will update this post when I get more info and decide on the option that's best for me. Doing a bit of searching on GG and I'm finding that reloading is not a real cost saving venture for 9mm, BUT I have four grown kids that all shoot and they all have 9mm's, including me. They are prolific shooters, so I think I'll be ok in the long term.

Besides, there's something magical about the whole reloading process for oneself, even though I tried it for just a couple hours.

IF,,you buy from the USA, have em ship USPS and definately NOT UPS. You'll get things faster via USPS and a darn site cheaper. UPS = Big Mi$take!

I don't get it... What's with all the UPS hate?

Their system is great... 'Never had any problem and they get stuff delivered fast as promised and on time...

On a largeer dollar item I'd rather pay their brokerage fee to get the stuff to my door than gamble with USPS/Canada Post...

No hate involved. UPS = same service as USPS at a much higher price. Its your $ :D.

Why would you pay a brokerage fee on something you don't have to?
