The loader I use and like the most is my Dillon RL550B but I wish it had a case powder check system like on the XL650.
I only load pistol revolver cartridges and never found the need for a factory crimp die so I have an open space on the tool head to fit the #21044 powder check system.
I contacted Dillon and this was their reply:
"Some users have modified their toolheads by machining to allow installation of the powdercheck on the RL550. Dillon does not undertake this, but it can be done using a milling machine. Do a search on sassnet.com for instructions."
I tried searching but without much luck.
I don't like a progressive loader and feel much more at home with the RL550B so I am thinking of modifying one my toolheads to accomodate the powder check system.
Right now I'm using flashlights, mirrors and wooden dowel dipsticks for powder checks but a Dillon powder check system would be a welcome improvement.
