Dillon XL 650

Your best bet is a WTB ad in the EE. You might be surprised at the offers you get. It's amazing the number of things that turn up for sale when you ask!

Order it direct from Dillon, I just received my CV-2001 tumbler and some other stuff in the mail. It took about two weeks to be shipped to Vancouver and you don't have to add the shop markup.

All orders are sourced from the US right? I guess its not such a big deal, dollar is at 91.5 I think, but shipping might be a killer?

I have no idea what that means.
As for the shipping I think it was $20-30. Go on the Dillon site and make up a wish list and submit it. Being an international order you end up getting a shipping quote and than have to submit your billing information to complete the order, it takes a day or two.

If you buy from a shop you pay the exchange/shipping/plus markup.

Dillon's direct prices are great with the state of the US dollar.
However, they quoted me $191 US to ship to me (just north of Vermont).

Shipping is free to US addresses, good if you have a buddy just over the border.

In a recent thread in the reloading forum, Petersomething has a lot of problems with his XL650 purchased direct from Dillon.

I hope to buy mine locally (Montreal) so I will have support if necessary.

TSE also has them, so does P&D
picked up mine (550) at CRAFM, I was passing in montreal that day.
I should've waited...paid more than Dillon direct or TSE (including shipping) and had to pay for my conversion kit, which I was sure came along. CRAFM is a great place to visit however.

Epps down to two now. I bought the one with 9mm last Sunday. Not sure if they have anymore case feeders. I only saw one and bought that too.

But I forgot to buy other accessories. Heading back up there tomorrow anyway to pick up M4. :)

Shipping cost kills deal from Dillon direct if you can obtain locally. Epps selling XL650's for $650 plus taxes.

hmmm, I might have to save up for a little while longer, I just priced out the 650 with the casefeeder and some other accessories, came in at $1,030 US

I wish mine cost "only" that much. All told, my total cost for all reloading equipment (including dies & conversion kits for 38, 40, 45 as well as Lyman Turbo AutoFlo tumbler & Lyman scale) ran me well over $2k. Well over. :p

Correction, Epps has 3 XL650 in stock. So I guess they had 4 before I bought one.

Today, I spent ~$300 in conversion kits (44mag and .223), 9mm dies and a roller handle. The rest, I guess I have to order from Dillon directly. I wouldn't mind the quick change kit but I have to call it quits now. Spent so much $$$ already and I haven't bought any reloading components yet.

I'll see how it goes with just using an extra die head.
