Is there anyone in Canada that deals with DIP rails? I’m looking for a 25-30 MOA rail for a Savage Mark II and they have 25 MOA.

Is the only one I’ve found they are out of the states and yes you get hit with duty sometimes not sure it it’s worth buying one for that rifle

I found Kinney’s but they just seem to be very expensive.

It is worth it for this rifle. It’s being set up for a long range rifle to shoot in the CPRS series, shooting 22 out to 350 yards. My other option is even more money with Burris XTR Signature rings that can go from 0-40 MOA with the inserts, but I still want/need a one piece base for that, not the two piece that comes with it.

I second Kinney's. I agree they are a little expensive once you get them north of the border, but it's a well made rail and Kinney's is really good to deal with.

You probably won't get a DIP rail in Canada unless you get it from Kinney's. Their prices are about $5 more than from DIP (who won't ship here).

EGW rails can be found in Canada but you will usually pay even more than the imported from USA DIP. Try Hirsch Precision for EGW stuff, I believe they are the importer.

I thought about the EGW as well but they only go to a 20 MOA unless you order direct, and have one custom made.

You're right. Kinney's is very expensive. They charge $44.95 for a DIP 25 MOA rail for the Mark II. The same rail sold by the manufacturer, DIP, sells for $39.97 (all USD). That's a whopping $5.00 difference, the cost of a couple extra large Tim's, without doughnuts. And to rub salt into the wound, DIP doesn't ship internationally.

Wait till you want a decent piece of glass to shoot with, or when you realize your rifle wants to be fed premium ammo.
I find that shooting is not a cheap hobby, nor is it always easy to acquire the products we want. You said above that your rifle is worth a rail.
So you are probably going to have to bite the bullet and save up your nickels.

I myself, find the cost of outfitting a rifle well worth it when I get behind the trigger.

I get that, not my first rodeo. The actual price, fine. But when it's listed at $45 and by the time it gets here will be close to $100, that's why I consider it expensive.
For the purpose of this rifle, expensive glass isn't an option. I will be looking at the Vortex Diamondback Tactical HP, and that's already seen the cap pushed for the rules.

Sorry that came out wrong I meant that riffle because I would think that other company’s make Savage rails I only bought a dip rail because not many companies make rails for cz

So far all I've found for the Savage is DIP and EGW so there aren't a lot of options. I may end up having to go with the EGW in 20MOA. J think it's enough, I just like being sure by going to the 25 or even 30.
