direct comparison: Marlin Papoose Vs. Ruger 10/22 Takedown

For what it's worth, I like the ability to add things to a rifle: especially high-capacity magazines!


Then again, maybe I'm just biased to the Ruger 10/22 in general...

I have a Papoose, and haven't had a single malfunction with it. I had a standard 10/22, and it ran reliably, but the accuracy was poor, and it was sold a long time ago.

It seems like it boils down to personal preferences. The only mods I have done, or felt were necessary, were the addition of a red dot and sling.

well... i'm having trouble finding stock anywhere of either of them. In the end I might just get what I can find!
