I took my Tikka T3 S/S in 243 for a little walk today and managed to get the barrel heated up alittle. Best shot of the 1 hour I was out for was a 210 yard quarter into 40km wind to take a mature male right out in the open. In all I poked 4 for 4 of which 3 were mature males and the other a young male...I think:confused:  That little T3 and the 4200 4-16x50 never seem to stop amazing me.....what a nice set-up. Saw lots more but needed to get to work:mad:

Saw 2 "Eastern" dirt pigs(ground hogs) out yesterday. Unfortunatly the only glass I was looking through was the windshield. I just might go out today to see if I can find them again, but with more appropriate tools in hand.

you guys talking about him...

This guy is a Toronto local.
I'm trying to feed his family so they can grow into a health population for a OPEN SEASON...:D

Tootall, a ground hog is not the same as a "prairie poodle". They are much larger and don't live in colonies. Same idea though, they dig burrows and are a pain in the butt for farmers. I'll have to see if I can get up to Mount Forest next weekend and maybe get a few.

My friend and i shot close to 20 gophers with the SKS a week ago. All shots were within 50 yards boy did they ever fly :D there were more but ill wait till they reproduce and there is more :)

Ahhh, that's what a dirt pig is! I was expecting pics of some of the girls I have found in my bed after a night of heavy partying!
