I was a big fan of g96, then hoppe's #9 solvent changed my mind, cleaning time for my AR down from 30 to 15mins. G96 is my lube oil now... Just my 2 cents, I am sure there are lots of good solvents out there.
After that dry the parts and lube er up, done!
