Just received 2 bolt handles from Bernie at Dirtybore. They are awsome!!! Bright polished guide rods and excellent craftmanship on the handles. I had a bit of a specail order for mine, I wanted the handles to be .500" in diameter and 1.25" long which they did at no extra charge. Excellent customer service and work. Hightly recommended.

Now, out of the three bolt handles I have, which one do you think looks the best in the rifle?

cz452shooter do you mean the KID trigger group or one of the bolt handles?:D :D

Right now I think I am going to hang on to them but If the urge to sell strikes me, you will be the first to know.:D

1 vote for number one so far.

Tell me you have the bolt headspaced properly and a new extractor right? I would stick with facroy original, these look like they would get caught on objects/clothes wile in the feild.

What impact would a new bolt handle have on headspace, and why would you need a new extractor?

The original bolt handle blows and it's tough to access without rapping your knuckles on your scope turrets. The aftermarket ones (I have a VQ) doesn't get stuck on anything in the field.

I never said anything about the handle effecting headspace. Read up on headspace on rimfire central or some such site regarding the 10/22 and tighter chambers. The bullets on mine were sitting about .015" off the edge of my new barrel due to excessive headspace, this resulted in a few misfires, among other small things. You need a shorter extractor(and firing pin) usualy if you get the headspace shortend to spec, and it helps to extract sticky cartriges out of the tighter chambers.

Im just saying that if you put a kickass sterio and $4000 set of tires into a ford mustang... you damn well better have some real preformance first!

Ahhh I see.... you are referring to his build in general, not to the bolt handles.

If he had the bolt jeweled, I'm assuming the headspace and extractor happened around the same time.

Guys who have Kidd Triggers on their 10/22's usually don't forget the basics... :)

Got a barrel in mind?... I can sell you a 20" butler creek(seriousely)? :)

Anyway it should be a kickass gopher gun at the least(with an AO scope?)

I don't think there is a gun out there that can dilver mass death to gophers out to 75-100yards more consistantly and satisfyingly than a tuned 10/22 with a bunch of mags. Going 25 for 25 with a mag in a mater of minuets is sweet.

Dude, that's like trying to sell Strangeday a Toyota Prius. :D

If a guy is spending thousands on a 10/22 build, the chances of him wanting a used Butler Creek is less than zero.
