Disable magazine safety colt 1911 a1

I have an old colt and the mags don't drop out when released what can I do to get them to fall out easier.

Colt 1911A1 does not have a magazine safety (which has nothing to do with your problem anyways). It seems that either the mag catch is not disengaging completely or your mags are bulged.

Another slight possibility is an interference between the mag follower and the slide stop.

Do you have more than one mag doing this?

What type of grips do you have on it?

I had some Houges that protruded into the magwell through the frame, had to sand them down a bit.

I have a new Springfield 1911 and one gripscrew was too long, it prevented my mags from dropping free.

I got it thanks to all

Just adjusted the tension on the sheet metal three prong spring and it works fine drops mags easy.
