Disappointed

All of you should pay for the gas that he burned going 60 km round trip. Its no biggie right?

Cough it up or stfu.

Where can I send the 8.25$ for the round trip ? My car gets 6.5L/100km. I figure 60km I burn 5 L at 1.65$/l supreme.

I'd love to have a gun store like EPPs near by. My nearest gun store that is not CT Is 52km 1 way.

Inventory counts can be off for many reasons. You are clearly not familiar with running a retail or distribution business. Relax, lots of more serious issues to be concerned about than an inventory count being off.

Thanks for the insight, can you explain why they didn't quickly refund and explain the error to the customer during the 2 weeks between when they took the money and he wasted his time and money driving to pick up his purchase?

I ordered an item from Reliable Guns a month ago, and got a refund and email the next day saying there had been an inventory error and they did not have stock.
Were living in the future, communication is cheap easy and effective.

The op can can answer that. Once he does you can email him the money.
Maybe you can pay him for his time wasted as well. Because....its no big thing right?

Or maybe both you and him should conclude that #####ing about a inventory mistake at a store (when they refunded the money) over a 30 km drive is pathetic.

Enjoy your day :)

Thought so. When called out you deflect. Another loudmouth and nothing more.
So no money from you over something so insignificant?

Your hired! Welcome to the Epps familly....
:)

I can't beleive all the people that would have been happy with buddy's experience, or think the fact they returned the money is good service?

I would have been pissed , the only difference is I would have directed my disappointment at who ever thought it was just a "sucks to be You" situation and not bothered to vent here.

Mistakes happen, how they are dealt with is what's important.

OP did wait 2 weeks to pick it up. He could easially called before making the trip.

Speaking of pathetic. At least you got the parts right? Another "do as I say not as I do". Centre of the universe attitude.
There are more gems of yours in your post history. I'm just sitting here watching TV. I can find more for you.

UPS is a joke....I had a head gasket set shipped with them and the same thing happened, said it was delivered but wasn't.

Called the parts company and they sent out an other set with Purolator...received it in 3 days

Pretty sure UPS is a minimum wage company, mostly a bunch of brain dead monkeys working there.

Look at those business that magically find guns.

Honestly, to digress slightly, but there is a point to this... When some company says "Hey! LOOK! We found XYZ firearm on a back shelf in the warehouse we didn't know about! Buy, BUY, BUY!!!"

I only think two things:

1 - You were stockpiling that in hopes it jumped in price, and now that it either did or did not, you decided to dump it on the market. What else do you have 'forgotten' to fatten your egos and profits?
OR
2 - Your inventory system is inept, your staff are morons, and I think just "losing" a firearm is illegal, no?

So, when someone tells me that their order of ammunition, a controlled product in Canada, was "lost" in the seller's store I only think two things:

1 - You sold that ammunition to someone else, maybe at a higher profit, and just screwed over another customer.
OR
2 - Your inventory system is inept, your staff are morons, and I think just "losing" ammunition is illegal, no? If it was 'lost' you'd fire someone if it was not recovered. If it was stolen and not reported as inventory loss properly, you'd fire someone. This is not a loaf of bread stolen at WalMart, this is ammunition.

To be fair, alot of stores dont have the space for neat storage, stuff is piled up in a mess. We all know that alot of stores have issues with their inventory as staff doesn't keep updating it.

Insignificant Yes, to the point of being ridiculous!

If your so empathetic to buddies hardship maybe you should start a go-fund-me ... I'm sure thousands will respond to raise the 10 bucks.

I teach my grandchildren they wouldn't be rewarded for whining behavior over trivial things.

I wonder where the "entitlement" syndrome in todays youth comes from?

LOL, and by the way, I drove 45 minutes to the local Canadian Tire store to pick up an item their website showed in stock...horror or horrors... its wasn't in stock on my arrival.

WTF, I should have started a ##### thread to reap all the sympathy I could and run those Azzholes into the ground for an inventory mistake, right?

Or, did I do the right thing by understanding inventory mistakes happen and carry on with the rest of my day without incident?

Sincerely hope you and buddy have a great day!

No, I will not reward buddy for whining about what I consider to be a VERY trivial ordeal. :)

When Epps is good, they are really good, often great. But when they suck, they are really terrible. I keep coming back though. It's retail, I go in with limited expectations.
Sorry to hear about the negative experiences.
