Disappointed

I like MDT because they sell good stuff and they are really great to deal with. That they are Canadian is just a bonus.

I really don't care if I can't participate in a free contest run by their American counterpart. Americans aren't permitted to enter Canadian contests either.
This is about where I am at. Lone Peak Arms is likely a distributor; they likely don't ship to Canada, however, MDT would have been foolish not to supply a chassis if they were supplying a rifle for a promo; benefiting both companies. Maybe MDT would do something similar with a "Canadian " built rifle, up here, if an opertunity arose to do so. What do we have to offer?

BTW, the more they sell there, the more stable the prices will be here.

not surprised

MDT Sporting Goods just got a whole lot more interesting. The Canadian chassis maker announced today that it has acquired Lone Peak Arms and Leading Edge Machine, the Utah-based shop that actually manufactures Lone Peak's precision bolt actions.

If you've spent any time in the precision rifle world, you know Lone Peak. Their Fuzion and Razor actions built a serious reputation among PRS competitors and custom rifle builders who wanted lightweight, tight-toleranced receivers without the usual custom-shop wait times. MDT picked up the whole pipeline here, not just the brand.
