I'm looking for detailed takedown/disassembly instructions for the Mossy 590. I have the Mossberg factory manual, but I'm interested in doing my own modifications, like replacing the forend, etc. Does anyone have any instructions which show the steps necessary to remove the forend, magazine tube, etc.?

The only thing that needs a special tool is the F/E take down. That's easily made by taking a piece of 1/8" mild steel and cutting 2 prongs inthe end to fit the slot in the retaining nut.
