Discovered something AMAZING (Hornady powder thrower)

The worst thing about this powder thrower is the beeping- it is very loud and annoying! The overcharges can be a problem too, but once I turned down the speed and increased the trickle time and added the straw mod I very rarely get overthrows anymore with H4895 or Varget...

So- I was messing about "reloading" some printer cartridges today and I found that if you hold down the "zero" button you can actually turn the beeping on and off! Glory days! I had resorted to a piece of tape over the buzzer to make it tolerable but just disabling is happy times!

Not sure if anyone else hates the beeper on this unit as much as I did, but hopefully this brings some more peace to your reloading experience! And for those that already knew this- why didn't you tell me earlier!

This is great. That's my only real complaint. I have a newer one replaced on warranty and it has an led that's green when done and red when over. I will try this when I get home

Chargemaster RCBS has a beep to it as well, not all that loud, but loud enough to wake wake me after a charge is thrown.,

The beep on the chargemaster can be shut off as well, actually every bit of the software can be modified.

Being a ding rather simple soul, I enjoy ding the basic sorts of music - like ding the door dingers on vehicles - I'll ding leave a door open for hours as I ding work - or the dinger that goes off when ding I accidentally leave the signal ding on for a while - rhythmic and peaceful ding like a heartbeat. This sort of music is a ding thousand times better than listening to ding some freak ratcheting up the stress ding level with a song of his - or some one else's ding moral depravity.............
